Whistler is a strong fit for Wenner's design and management practice. The architectural language — timber frame, exposed structure, ski-in / ski-out alpine homes — places significant demands on the technology scope: heating recovery, exterior power for snowmelt and lighting, secondary residences and caretaker suites, multi-zone audio across primary and outdoor living spaces. Wenner serves the Sea-to-Sky as a design-led practice, with installation handled through trusted local trades working from our drawings and under our management.

Architectural lighting design is one of the disciplines that benefits most from being designed in early. We produce a layered lighting plan — ambient, task, accent, decorative — with full fixture specification, RCP overlays for the architect, panel schedules for the electrician, and scene programming so the homeowner has one keypad button for "Dinner" instead of fifteen dimmers.

Wenner's Whistler projects follow the same disciplined workflow as our heritage Vancouver Island work. The system is pre-engineered at our design centre well before it ships to site, and the Wenner integration team handles the critical on-site phases directly — even on remote projects.
- Rack builds and pre-engineering at our design centre. Equipment racks, control processors, network gear, and bespoke programming are assembled, configured, and tested at our Nanaimo or Victoria centre before anything ships to site — the system is essentially functional before it leaves our hands.
- Wenner team on site for the critical phases. Rough-in, final install, commissioning, and testing are handled directly by the Wenner integration team — flown to Whistler for these phases, not subcontracted out.
- Trusted local trades for the supporting scope. Cable pulling, conduit, and other labour-intensive on-site work is delivered through vetted local trades working from our drawing set and under our management.
- One accountable party. Wenner remains the single technical and management authority on the project, in close coordination with the architect, the interior designer, the builder, and the homeowner.
- The same long-term relationship. Same coordination during construction, same commissioning standard at handover, same aftercare through WennerCare.
