Working across the Mainland Whistler By Request
For builders, architects & interior designers

The technology partner
that makes you
look good.

You bring us into the project. We bring drawings, design coordination, and a single point of contact for every technical scope. The walls close on time. The systems work on day one. Your client is calling you to thank you, not us.

Wenner project — Sandstone interior
For the GC

One sub-trade.
Every technical
scope.

You're managing 30 sub-trades. You don't need three more for AV, security and lighting control. We hold all of it under one roof — drawn, coordinated, scheduled, and present at the trades meeting.

01

One set of drawings.

Electrical, AV, lighting control, security — coordinated in our office before they arrive on yours.

02

One number to call.

A single Project Manager from rough-in through final commissioning. RFIs answered same day.

03

One scope, no gaps.

The seam between the electrician and the AV trade is where projects bleed money. We own both sides of that seam.

04

On site when you need us.

Framing walks, mechanical coordination, finish coordination, commissioning. Not "we'll send the programmer next month."

05

Clean handover.

Documentation package, system training for the homeowner, and a WennerCare contract so post-occupancy issues stop coming back to you.

06

Bring your client to our centre.

The most powerful sales tool you have on a luxury build. Bring them. We'll dim the room. You'll close the project.

What builders actually ask us.

"My client already has an integrator they like."
Great. We'd rather not unseat that relationship — but we'll happily do the design and coordination and let the integrator install. Or we'll quote against them on equal footing. Either way, you don't lose your client.
"My client doesn't think they need 'all that.'"
Bring them to the centre for an hour. They might not — and we'll tell them so. But more often they leave understanding which 20% of the technology delivers 80% of the value, and they'll thank you for the introduction.
"You're going to be more expensive than the regular AV guy."
Yes, on the equipment line. No, on the project total. Coordinated drawings stop change orders. A clean rack stops service calls. A trained team stops the panicked phone at 9 PM on Saturday. We don't compete on AV gear — we compete on the whole project not going sideways.
"What do you charge to come look at the project?"
Nothing. Initial site visits, video calls, and Experience Centre tours are part of how we work — paid work begins when you commission a Design Package, typically once the architect's set is at SD or DD.
Single-Source Project Management

Keep your electrician.
Borrow our standards.

We're moving to a model where Wenner manages the entire electrical scope on your behalf — drawings, RFIs, change orders, schedule, commissioning — across every trade that ends in a wire. Pre-wire and finish are handled in-house, or subbed to your preferred electrician — your call. Everything else is in-house.

Today's typical job

Eight or nine sub-trades pulling cable through the same walls. Each has its own drawings, its own change-order language, its own schedule. The seams between them are where cost and time leak out — and where the homeowner's experience falls apart.

With Wenner managing

One trade portfolio for the GC. One drawing set. One change-order process. One schedule that reconciles against the master. Your electrician keeps doing what they do — we hold them, and every other technical trade, to the same standard the rest of our work meets.

Why this is rare

Wenner is one of the few firms in the world that understands the electrical trade as deeply as the systems that ride on it — which is the only way to guarantee compatibility and integration across the whole house.

CEDIA Award winner — Best Ultra-Luxury Home, Americas. Electrical design & coordination, lighting, A/V, control, networking, security, shading, climate integration, generators & energy, and golf simulators — all in-house. WennerCare aftercare for the life of the home.

From a builder we work with

"They run the technology like a real GC runs framing. RFIs come back the same day, change orders are documented before the work starts, and at the end of the job there's a binder. I don't have to chase anyone."

For the Architect

Technology that
respects the
drawing.

We work in your CAD set, not on top of it. Our reflected ceiling plans, panel locations and equipment rooms come back coordinated with your sections — not as a separate document the GC has to reconcile against yours.

01

RCPs that match yours.

Our lighting layout overlays your reflected ceiling plan, on the same scale, in the same convention. No reconciliation required.

02

Equipment that disappears.

Flush trims, plaster-in fixtures, in-millwork speakers, hidden touch panels. We carry the catalogues you'd actually spec.

03

Materials & finishes coordinated.

Keypad metals, switch plates, panel surrounds — chosen to match the rest of your hardware schedule.

04

Permittable drawings.

BC-licensed electrical contractor on staff. Drawings issued for permit, not just for reference.

05

Pre-construction at SD.

We can sit in at SD/DD to pre-empt the technology problems that surface at IFC and become RFIs in CA.

06

Spec sheet on request.

If you have a standard tech spec, we follow it. If you don't, we'll write you one.

For the Interior Designer

The room you
drew is the room
they live in.

If a touch panel ruins the millwork, the technology has failed. We bring fabric drapery onto motorised tracks, hide speakers behind plaster, and pick keypad finishes from your palette — not a generic catalogue.

01

Fabric drapery, not vinyl.

Motorised tracks engineered for the fabric you've already specified. Headers and side channels that disappear into the architecture.

02

Lighting design, not "fixture supply."

Layered scenes, fixture specification, dim curves tuned to the finish palette. Nothing flicks on at 100%.

03

Keypads in your metal.

Lutron Palladiom and Crestron Horizon plates in the bronze, brushed brass or matte black your hardware schedule already calls for.

04

Speakers you can't see.

In-wall, in-ceiling, in-millwork — chosen so the speaker grilles match the wall, or there are no grilles at all.

05

One technology decision, not fifty.

You don't want to spec 47 individual products. We bring a curated short list per scope and a recommendation for each room.

06

FF&E friendly.

Our scope hands off to your FF&E install cleanly — we leave the room ready for the soft furnishings, not full of dust.

Trade FAQ

Common trade questions.

How early in the project should we engage Wenner?

At Schematic Design or earlier. The decisions made before drywall determine what is possible afterward.

Do you work with the GC or directly with the client?

We work behind the design team. Wenner manages the entire technical scope on behalf of the builder; client-facing documentation carries your firm's name where appropriate.

How do you handle electrical sub coordination?

Either way: we hold your existing electrician to our drawings, RFI process, and change-order discipline; or we subcontract the electrical for you.

Can you work to our drawing set conventions?

Yes. Our reflected ceiling plans overlay your set, on the same scale, in the same convention. If you have a standard tech spec, we follow it.

How do you handle change orders?

Documented and approved before work begins. The seam between the electrician and the AV trade is where projects bleed money — we own both sides of that seam.

Do you work outside Vancouver Island?

Yes — across the BC mainland and Whistler by request. Vancouver Island is the heritage and the home market.

What does the trade discount structure look like?

Available to firms in the Wenner Trade Programme. Apply on this page, or ask about it on a Discovery Call.

From an architect we work with often

"When Wenner is the integrator I know I can hand the technology off and stop thinking about it. That's the highest compliment I can pay a consultant."
