From electrical contractor
to technology architect.
Wenner started in 1945 as an electrical contractor on Vancouver Island. Three generations later, the company you see today is built on the same foundation — careful electrical design and coordination, careful drawings, and being on site when the trades need us — and extended to encompass every technical system the modern luxury home depends on.
We don't think of ourselves as integrators. We think of ourselves as a single design and coordination team that holds ten disciplines — electrical, lighting, A/V, automation, networking, security, shading, climate integration, generators & energy, and golf simulators — under one roof. The reason it matters: when one team is responsible for everything that ends in a wire, the seams between trades stop costing the project time and money.
We work behind the design team — the architect, the interior designer, the builder, the GC. The relationship between Wenner and those firms is the practice. We've spent eighty years learning where technology fits in that conversation, and how to keep it from getting in the way.

Wenner Group operates three companies under a single set of standards. O.R. Wenner Ltd. is the parent — three generations of electrical and integration practice on Vancouver Island. Wenner Security Inc. trades as SmartSecure and runs the alarm, access-control, and surveillance practice across the Island; alarm monitoring itself is outsourced to a local Canadian ULC-listed station. Intuitiv Spaces Inc. is our global consulting arm. Shared leadership, shared technical bench, shared accountability.
